Creamy Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes Recipe

Description

Smooth and creamy mashed potatoes flavored with freshly shaven parmesan, garlic, and butter.


Ingredients

45 large russet potatoes

1/2 cup heavy cream (more if needed for smoothness)

1/2 cup salted (1 stick) butter

1 tsp kosher salt (salt to taste)

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tsp garlic powder


Instructions

  1. Peel and chop potatoes into quarters. Be sure to rinse the potatoes before dropping them into a large pot of water. Heavily salt the pot of water. 
  2. Bring the pot to a boil, then cover. Boil the potatoes until they are tender. Then drain them. Put the potatoes back into the pot.
  3. Add room temp, heavy creamy, freshly grated parmesan, and seasonings. Use a potato masher to mash the potatoes until they are smooth. Use a spoon to stir and combine well. Be sure to taste the potatoes and adjust the salt level and smoothness. 
  4. Serve warm and enjoy!
