Easy Homemade Brownies Recipe

Delicious homemade brownies with fudgy centers, crispy chewy edges, and rich cocoa flavor.


Units Scale
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar, I use raw cane sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and prepare your baking pan. I used an 8×8 square pan. I cut a piece of parchment paper and placed it in the baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, I whisked together the cooled melted butter, oil, and 4 eggs. Make sure you cooled the eggs completely before adding them.
  3. Add the sugar and vanilla extract. Set the wet ingredients aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and flour. 
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until they are well combined. Then pour the batter into your prepared baking pan. 
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
