What to Serve with Salmon?
Cajun salmon is one of my favorite quick and easy fish dinners. This delicious salmon is so juicy and and flaky. Almost any side dish will pair well with the salmon.
What’s for dinner tonight? This spicy and flavorful pan-seared cajun salmon recipe is perfect for tonight’s dinner.
4 Salmon pieces
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Cayenne
2 1/2 tsp Chili powder
2 1/2 tsp Paprika, smoked
1 tsp Salt ( or salt to taste)
1 tsp olive oil
5 tbsp butter
Rinse the fish then pat dry thoroughly.
In a bowl, combine the spices and herbs. Combine well and taste. Adjust the salt if needed.
Cover the fish in olive oil, then use a spoon to cover the fish in seasonings. Heat the pan on medium and add the butter to the pan.
Once the butter is melted, and the butter forms small bubbles, add the fish, season side down. DO NOT move the fish once you place it in the pan until it is time to flip it. Cook the fish for 6 minutes on each side. I like to add 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan between each batch of fish. I also use a spatula or wooden spoon to scrape the pan between each batch.
